Areté is the Philosophy Journal edited by the Humanities Department of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). It has two issues per year. It publishes original and unpublished research papers in Spanish, by authors who participate significantly in contemporary philosophical discussion in all of the different fields of Philosophy. The journal includes as well a permanent reviews section and, occasionally, publishes documents concerning important philosophical debates carried out in our country or abroad, and interviews with world renowned philosophers.

 
The papers presented to Areté’s Redaction Secretariat are submitted to an arbitrage system which entails a blind review by two peers, internal or external. The readers’ reports are then forwarded to the Editorial Board for it to decide on the convenience of the paper’s publication. The papers submitted to Areté must fulfil the criteria pointed out in the “Guidelines for Papers’ Submission”.
