Submitter papers may be
research articles and essays, which will be reviewed under the blind-peer
review system. A Word template is available
here.
1. Papers should be
original and unedited. They should not be part of any other evaluation
process, be it a national or international publication. The author is
also required to deliver a simple signed letter in which it is indicated
that they authorize the Editorial Fund of the University of Lima to
publish their article in the journal, in printed and electronic format.
2. Papers may be
written in Spanish, English or Portuguese and sent in .doc or .docx
extension documents (MS Word). They should not surpass 10,000 words,
including titles, subtitles, author names and affiliations, abstracts,
footnotes, tables, figures and captions, with 1.5 spacing and Times New
Roman 12 font.
General guidelines for
research articles
1. Presentation:
complete title (in English, Spanish and Portuguese), author information
(full name(s), institutional affiliation, academic level, research areas
and e-mail). An ORCID code is required for all authors, this should be
indicated in the presentation page.
2. Page 1: complete
title, abstract (200 words), 5 keywords. This should also be in English,
Spanish and Portuguese. The abstract must clarify the study’s objective,
relevance, methodology, results and contribution to its field.
3. Page 2 onwards:
title and text, without the author’s name. Research articles should
follow the IMRaD structure: introduction (including recent literature,
theoretical framework, frame of reference), methodology, results and
discussion. At the end of the text, bibliographical references and
appendices must be included.
4. Of in-text citations and bibliographical references:
a. Articles should
be formatted according to the
7th edition of the American Psychological Association (APA)
Publication Manual.
b. The in-text
citations of articles and books should look like this (author’s last
name, year, page) or (Quezada, 2017, p. 53). If paraphrased, page
numbers are not necessary. For more information on citation formats
see APA manual 7th edition.
c. Information
notes should be placed as footnotes. If these included any citation,
they should also be adapted to APA style. Footnotes do not exempt
the responsibility of citing the source of information.

5. Of images, graphics
and tables:
a. Images (photographs),
figures (infographics, statistical graphics, etc.) and tables should
be included and mentioned in text. During diagramming, these will be
placed as near as possible to where they are mentioned. They should
be presented with the information established by APA 7th edition
rules.
b. Additionally,
images should be provided in a separate file, in .JPG or .TIFF
format, with a resolution of 300 dots per inch. Each image should be
authorized for reproduction or have a Creative Commons license (or
similar).
c. Figures should
be provided in a separate file, .xls or .xslx formats (MS Excel).
Guidelines for essays or
bibliographical reviews
1. Essays should fall
into the topics of the journal. They should be exhaustive, original and
critical. They are subjected to the same conditions regarding
originality, extension, presentation and bibliographical references
aforementioned.
2. Bibliographical
reviews (state of the art) should be exhaustive and contain a minimum of
50 references in order to be considered for evaluation. They are
subjected to the same conditions regarding originality, extension,
presentation and bibliographical references aforementioned.
