Comments

They are articles requested by invitation of the editorial committee, where topics or concepts of interest to the scientific community on a current Amazonian topic are discussed and presented. It is an authoritative opinion on any of the various thematic areas of the magazine (e.g. ecology, conservation, agroforestry, among others), or a comment that invites reflection on a previously published article. Opinion essays and monographs are included here. They must have the following parts: summary, the body of the comment, references, and acknowledgments. The document will contain up to 7500 words. The word count excludes the abstract, figures, tables, and references.

Reviews

Requested by invitation of the editorial committee, taking into account the expertise of the author(s) on the topic. They are articles based on original bibliographic and data collection proposals, including an analytical interpretation and discussion and not just a simple description of the reviewed material. Reviews typically include indications of outstanding issues that need to be addressed and directions that future work could take to clarify those issues. Extensive reference lists are expected. The manuscript is organized as follows: title in Spanish, abstract, keywords, English or Portuguese version of the title, abstract, keywords, introduction, body of the text, references, figure legends, and boards. The headings and subheadings in the body of the text usually vary depending on the topic. The document will contain up to 12,000 words. The summary and abstract have a maximum length of 250 words.

Scientific Notes

Scientific notes must be written in a unique sequence. They should include an Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion section but not place them as subtitles. The text must include Summary and Keywords in Spanish and English. A maximum of two figures and two tables per note will be accepted.
