Articles sent to the journal must be original and unpublished, written in Spanish, English or Portuguese, in the style, format and conditions established in the TEMPLATE. (http://revistas.untumbes.edu.pe/index.php/manglar/instrucciones).

The structure of an original article will be as follows:

  • Title in spanish and english.
  • Names and surnames (initial of the middle surname) of the autor or authors.
  • Affiliation, indicating institution and its physical address, including city and country.
  • Abstract in spanish and english. Not exceed 200 words.
  • Key words, in spanish and english (not exceed six words).
  • Introduction (problematic situation, background, justification and objective).
  • Methods (population and sample, research desing, method, statictical process, obviously depending on the studio. What is important is that the reproducibility criterion is met.).

  • References. Use APA style 7th version.

MANGLAR journal uses the references in alphabetical order by surname of the first author (APA 7th version). All publications cited in the text must be listed in the References section, and vice versa, all listed References must have been cited in the text. An important indication to take into account is that at least 50% of the bibliographical references must be scientific articles, originally written in English and from the last 5 years. Minimize as much as possible the use of books, theses, conference articles and web pages.

All papers will be subject to peer review and evaluation of the specialty (refereeing).

Use the international system of measurements. Use the decimal COMMA.

Figures and tables will have titles at the bottom and top, respectively. Tables must be in editable format and with horizontal lines only. The images embedded in the text in JPEG or GIF format, taking care that their quality is the highest possible.

The submitted manuscripts are received solely and exclusively through the following email: revistamanglar@untumbes.edu.pe

Attach to the submission statements of originality, compliance with ethical standards and assignment of publication rights, in accordance with the formats established by the journal.

All the articles received in Manglar are evaluated in Turnitin to ensure the originality of the articles and detect possible plagiarism. If the article has a high similarity ratio (more than 10%), it is returned to the author so that this ratio is reduced.

The Editor receives the article and verifies if the material sent complies with the editorial line and conditions requested in these instructions. If the article does not conform to the editorial line or conditions requested in this Guide for Authors, the Editor reserves the right to inform the author of this breach, instructing him to start the process of submitting his work again. In the worst case, the manuscript is rejected and the authors are notified, attaching a report with the reasons for the refusal. If there is compliance, it is submitted to peer review (blind review), using specialists in the subject, who will give their opinion on the substantive aspects of the study. Once the opinion of the evaluators has been received, the Editor prepares a report of acceptance or rejection of the article, and communicates it to the corresponding author. In the case of an acceptance, it can be: accepted with more observations, accepted with fewer observations and accepted without observations. The review process can be repeated until there are no comments. The names of the reviewers remain anonymous to the authors throughout the process.

Once approved, the manuscript is sent to the editing area for the respective review of style and pagination. Prior to publication, the author receives a proof of their article for final review and/or approval. The case of a rejection of the publication may occur, when the correction of observations is not satisfactory for the reviewers and/or editors.

While the article is in the review and/or publication process, the same article cannot be sent to another journal.

Once an article is approved, the authors retain their copyright without restriction.

This journal does not request economic contributions for the sending, processing or publication of the articles. It is a journal fully subsidized by Universidad Nacional de Tumbes.
