In this work, the clinical incidence of dengue patients referred to the Regional Reference Laboratory of La Libertad, Peru was characterized. A descriptive study was performed in patients diagnosed with dengue. The symptomatology showed a higher prevalence of headache, reaching 100% of the referred female patients of the Santa Isabel - El Porvenir District Hospital and with 96.7% of the referred patients both male and female referrals of the Laredo District Hospital - Laredo, likewise the predominantly affected population is that which ranges between 11 and 20 years with 23.3%, which is referred to the Santa Isabel District Hospital - El Porvenir and those who are in the range of 31 to 40 years with a 26.7% from the District Hospital of Laredo - Laredo. Likewise, the lowest incidence of dengue patients referred from the two hospitals mentioned is in the range of 0 to 10 years with 8.3% and 3.3% respectively. During the year 2019, dengue cases have become one of the largest epidemics that have been reported in our town, this leads to take preventive measures to stop the outbreak of this disease, through health education and joint participation of the population and health authorities.
