Abstract

LISI BERETERBIDE, Francisco L.. Myth in Plato: Some reflections on a recurrent issue. arete [online]. 2009, vol.21, n.1, pp.35-50. ISSN 1016-913X.

The paper analyzes the signification of myths in the Platonic work starting from the use of the term in the dialogues and comparing it with the use of the term logos. The different ways in which the term is used are distinguished in order to delimitate a properly Platonic use. In that way, myth does not oppose written logos.

Keywords : myth; logos; story; discourse; truth.
