Abstract

BAREIRO, Julieta. Ricoeurian Contributions to the Metapsychological Transformation of D. W. Winnicott’s Psychoanalysis: Strength, Meaning and Transitionality. arete [online]. 2019, vol.31, n.2, pp.283-296. ISSN 1016-913X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18800/arete.201902.001.

This article is part of the interdisciplinary tradition and attempts to make a contribution in the field of the relations between psychoanalysis and hermeneutical phenomenology. Particularly, the contribution lies in pointing out the transformation Winnicott makes out of the Freudian metapsychology. To carry out this purpose, the phenomenological-hermeneutic reflections of the reading P. Ricoeur makes of Freudian metapsychology in Freud: an Interpretation of Culture (1985) will be assumed as an analysis criterion of Winnicott’s work.

Keywords : Ricoeur; Winnicott; Freud; psychoanalysis; metapsychology.
