Abstract

Objective: To determine some characteristics of demand of training of the administrative personnel of the national hospitals of the Department of Health in Lima and Callao, of the year 2003. Material and Methods: We designed and validated an instrument for the collection of data, this instrument was completed by the 224 people that conformed the sample. Results: The most demanded themes of training were, in planning, operating plan, in economy, financial economic management, in logistic, logistic management, in personnel, personnel management, and in statistical, warning statistics, the place preferred for the training was the same hospitable establishment, the schedule was the afternoon of 14:00 to 17:00 hours (41.07%), and the majority of people prefer no to invest money in training (70.53%). Conclusions: These finds show the existence of a demand of specific training in administrative personnel in this group of hospitals, demand that should be cover. (Rev Med Hered 2006;17:42-47).
