Objective: To describe and to evaluate surgical treatment of acetabular fractures Material y methods: It is a longitudinal descriptive study of 45 patients with fractures of acetabulum treated surgically at the Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia from January 1994 to January 2004 with different boarding and types of fixation, Was used the modified scale or Hanover. Results: 12 presented fractures of pelvis ring too, and one patient presented fracture of both acetabulum. Most frequently group was from 21 to 30 years old, and 65% were male. According to Hannover scale 23 obtained excellent results, 12 good, 9 regular, 2 bad. Conclusions: Gold treatment of acetabulum fractures with displacement is surgical treatment to obtain most accurate reduction of the fracture which is possible, and obtain improved outcome.
