Abstract

BAMBAREN ALATRISTA, Celso Vladimir  and  ALATRISTA GUTIERREZ, María Del Socorro. Hospitals safe against disasters. Rev Med Hered [online]. 2007, vol.18, n.3, pp.149-154. ISSN 1018-130X.

There were 1 143 health care centers damaged by earthquakes, heavy rains and floods in Peru between 1982 and 2005. Therefore, it is necessary to protect health care services and develops a "hospitals safe against disasters" policy that includes actions to prevent or reduce the structural, non structural and functional vulnerabilities in new establishments and those that are currently operating.(Rev Med Hered 2007;18:149-154).

Keywords : Safe hospitals; disaster.
