MANCILLA MANCILLA, Luis. Invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) in humeral shaft fracture. . Rev Med Hered [online]. 2007, vol.18, n.4, pp.184-184. ISSN 1018-130X.

Material and methods: We reported three patients, one was vehicular accident, and two were by gunshot, who were treated with antibiotic prophylactic for ten days before surgery. Results: We found blood lost average of 180cc and time surgery was 60 minutes. The pain was slight after surgery during the first day and movement of shoulder and elbow was early. Consolidation bone time was between eight and twelve weeks, no radial injury was found. Conclusion: We think that minimally invasive plate bridge osteosynthesis is a surgery technique that must be consider in some conditions.
