Abstract

LOPEZ, Mario; ZAVALETA-ALFARO, Ricardo; VELA, Juan J.  and  MOSTACERO, Heberth. Extrapleural correction of pectus excavatum without thoracoscopy in patients with previous surgical interventions. Rev Med Hered [online]. 2013, vol.24, n.3, pp.223-226. ISSN 1729-214X.

A case of a 6-year old child surgically intervened before in the left hemithorax for pectus excavatum in whom a correction was performed using the modified Nuss tenchique without using a thoracoscope is reported. No complications were observed during and after the procedure. The follow-up at 6-months showed favourable clinical, anatomic and functional status.
