Resumen
ABARCA-ACUNA, Bryan et al. Rhupus, a very uncommon syndrome: A case report. Rev Med Hered [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.1, pp.51-54. ISSN 1018-130X.
Rhupus is an overlap syndrome in which both rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus (SL) co-exist. We report the case of a 47 year-old female patient presenting with poliarthralgia, mainly on both knees and right hip, fotosensitivity, diffuse alopecia, oral ulcers, swan neck deformity of hand fingers, hallux valgus in both foot and edema of upper and lower limbs. The co-existence of two connective tissue disorders in the same patient is a very rare event, in particular the co-existence of RA and SL, that has been reported in 0.001 and 2% of cases.
