Abstract

A review of studies published in Medline, LILACS, SciELO, Redalyc and Google Scholar was performed to identify the main psychologic alterations associated to infantile obesity. An association between infantile obesity and negative reactive mood disorder, corporal in satisfaction, negative attitudes, distortion of the body image by the parents, bullying, anxiety, depression, low self-confidence and eating was found. Better studies are needed on this field.
