The efficiency of the use of fluorides for systemic, in water or salt for human consumption is a subject little discussed today, this contrasts with the limited information on the effectiveness and achievements in Peru, reducing tooth decay. The article describes the experiences of applying various fluorides taken in the country, both by systemically and topically applied, which show the various criteria for the choice of the mode of application of fluoride by the authorities, the weak performance of the various steps and lack of continuity of the processes.
