Abstract
SALAZAR-LOPEZ, Carola and QUINTANA-DEL SOLAR, Martín. Aesthetic-functional rehabilitation combining Lithium disilicate crowns in the anterior region and metal-ceramic crowns in the posterior region. Rev. Estomatol. Herediana [online]. 2016, vol.26, n.2, pp.102-109. ISSN 1019-4355. http://dx.doi.org/10.20453/reh.v26i2.2872.
This article reports a case of a complete oral rehabilitation with anterior and posterior crowns of Lithium disilicate ceramic (System IPS e. max Press) and splinted metal ceramic crowns on lower posterior implants. Currently, lithium disilicate is one of the best ceramic materials available; and provides strength and aesthetic requirements necessary for patients with a conservative choice. On the other hand, the metal-ceramic crowns splinted implant happen to be an alternative treatment widely accepted by patients for replacing one or more missing teeth, where the initial purpose of splinting is to improve retention, distribute forces and improve stability of the prosthesis.
