Abstract

Objectives: Evaluate the impact of oral conditions in quality of life in children between 11 to 12 years old of schools at Sayausí, Cuenca, Ecuador. Material and methods: It was an analytical cross-sectional study, 359 students were evaluated between 11 and 12 years old, which was the entire population that met the selection criteria,the quality of life related to oral health CVRSB was evaluated with the survey Child- OIDP Peru validated version. Evaluated patients gave their consent and their parents signed the informed consent according to the requirements of institutional ethics committee of the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University. Results: This study found 98.9% students with some impact level in his quality of life. The three most common conditions in the self-report are dental caries, teeth with sensitivity and pain, with 72%; 50% and 50% respectively.
