The Rapunzel syndrome, is a rare form of gastric trichobezoar extending throughout the bowel.  A case history of a 22-year-old peruvian women is described. This is the thirteenth patient with RS reported in the literature. The epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, complications, treatment, and literature are briefly reviewed.
