In this article is described very in a summarized form, the history of the Revista de Gastroenterología del Perú (RGP) that dates from the same origins of the Sociedad de Gastroenterología del Perú, when based in October 30 of 1952 already glimpse the presence of the RGP as the official organ for the publication for studies of doctors of the society or foreign guests. We spend 29 years, and this idea becomes reality; and today the RGP turns their XXV anniversary. The RGP, to locate itself as the Peruvian medical publication best reputation.
