Abstract

Indicates the research results developed in the environment of the Imago Group, which is part of the Information Science Department at the Federal University of Pernambuco. The group is registered and certified in the Research Groups Directory of the National Scientific and Technological Development Council. Aimed to reflect, develop and implement indexes to a work of reference entitled 'Bibliophilately: information sources for the philatelic and postal studies'. This work is part of the Brazilian Philatelic Bibliography which, is also, part of the Brazilian Philatelic Repository project. With an exploratory and descriptive nature, used as the methodological procedure the identification, retrieval and reading professional literature, retrieved from the Brazilian Reference Data Base Articles Journals in Information Science. It identified a lack of scientific literature about research. Presents, as a conclusion of the research, a group of three indexes: onomastic, chronological and by subject. It also collaborates in the national debate scenario about the librarian's role in developing such tools.
