Abstract

CHALCO FLORES, María E.; LOPEZ VILLAVICENCIO, Carlos  and  PASCUAL RIVERA, Jorge V.. Psychometric properties of the adherence to treatment scale in patients with kidney disease. Rev. investig. psicol. [online]. 2023, vol.26, n.1, pp.43-60.  Epub June 19, 2023. ISSN 1560-909X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15381/rinvp.v26i1.25070.

Objetive.

The study aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of validity and reliability of “Escala de Adherencia Terapéutica basada en comportamientos explícitos” in patients with kidney disease.

Method

. The research was instrumental, with a sample of 245 patients with kidney disease, between men and women, whose ages ranged from 16 to 65 years.

Results

. The reliability obtained through the alpha, ordinal and omega coefficient, values greater than .70 considered acceptable. In addition, a confirmatory factorial analysis was performed where adequate fit indices were found for an oblique three-factor model with 13 items (X2 =158.432, gl=62, CFI=.955, TLI=.943, SMRM=.075, RMSEA =.080 and WRMR=1.007).

Conclusions.

The instrument presents evidence of validity and reliability based on the struc ture of the construct for the study sample.
