Abstract

CAMPOS L, Daniel  and  MORALES-CAUTI, Siever. Seroprevalence of antibodies against smooth strains of Brucella in Junín sheep from SAIS TúpacAmaru, Peru. Rev. investig. vet. Perú [online]. 2020, vol.31, n.4, e19250. ISSN 1609-9117.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15381/rivep.v31i4.19250.

The aim of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of antibodies against smooth strains of Brucella (B. abortus, B. mellitensis and B. suis) in Junín breed sheep of SAIS Tupac Amaru, Peru. Serum samples (n=926) were analysed with a commercial indirect ELISA kit (IDEXX Brucellosis Serum). Only one sample was positive. The betapert stochastic simulationprogram(@Risk) determined a minimumprevalence of 0.10037% and a maximum of 0.11563%.

Keywords : brucellosis; indirect ELISA; Junín breed; ovine.
