Resumen

PAREDES, Christian  y  ANAYA, Roberta. Acute effect of copper oxychloride and butachlor on the "freshwater shrimp" Cryphiops caementarius (Molina 1782). Ecol. apl. [online]. 2015, vol.14, n.1, pp.71-74. ISSN 1726-2216.

The aim of this study was to determine the acute effect of two agrochemicals such as copper oxychloride and butachlor on river shrimps. Juvenile freshwater shrimps Cryphiops caementarius (Molina 1782) were exposed for 96 h to two widely used agrochemicals, such as 2- chloro-2,6 diethyl phenil acetamide or N butoxymetil butachlor (3.18, 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 mg/l) and Cu2 (OH)3 Cl or copper oxychloride (132.81, 265.63, 531.25, 1,062.50, 2,125.00 mg/l), and their negative controls, respectively. In addition, a reference substance as a positive control, such as potassium dichromate or K2Cr2O7 (0.03, 0.3, 3, 30, 300 mg/l) was included. Potassium dichromate LC50 showed a range of 0.3 to 3 mg/l. We did not find significant differences between the average concentrations in the one way analysis of variance. Butachlor 96 hours LC50 was estimated to be in the range of 3.18 - 6.25 mg/l; for copper oxychloride, the LC50 calculated was 2,607.72 mg/l. In the two chemicals that were studied, butachlor is much more toxic than copper oxychloride.

Palabras clave : Cryphiops; butachlor; copper oxychloride; potassium dichromate; bioaccumulation.
