Abstract

COTILLO, Alejandro; APENO, Antony  and  APONTE, Héctor. First documented record of the Pato Tarro Blanco, Tadorna Tadorna (Linnaeus, 1758), in Peru. Ecol. apl. [online]. 2019, vol.18, n.2, pp.185-188. ISSN 1726-2216.  http://dx.doi.org/10.21704/rea.v18i2.1336.

The presence of the species Tadorna tadorna is reported for the first time in Peru in the coastal wetland of Santa Rosa (Chancay, Lima). This species is not currently in the list of birds of Peru. On March 10, 2018, an individual female belonging to this species was registered in the main water body of the above mentioned wetland. The possible circumstances that have led to its presence in this locality are unknown.
