Leopardus pardalis, one of the eight species of the family Felidae found in Peru, is the second largest spotted feline in South America and can be found in a wide variety of habitats, such as tropical rainforests, swamps, thorny bushes areas, among others. This work reports the first photographic record, using a camera trap, of an adult male Leopardus pardalis in the Sauce Grande Sector of the El Angolo Game Reserve, Piura, Peru, confirming the presence of this species within that protected natural area.
