Abstract

GUTIERREZ-NORIEGA, Carlos. Acción de los Analepticos sobre los reflejos Neurovegetativos. Rev. perú. med. exp. salud publica [online]. 1943, vol.2, n.2, pp.113-130. ISSN 1726-4634.

1. Stimulan.ts of analeptic group (metrazol, coramine and strychinine) were found to increase the reflexes of the sympathetic nervous system, and in lesser degree the reflexes of th parasympathetic nervous system. Small and repeated doses have greater stimulant action than one large dose. 2. The reflexes controlling arterial blood pressure (carotic sinus vascular reflex) are not affected by these compounds in normal conditions, but they posses a stimulant action when the carotic sinus reflex is depressed. 3. None of the analeptics examined can be shown to have significant effect on the reinforcement reflexes of the autonomic nervous system. 4. Analeptics depress, and in lesser degree increase, the inhibitory reflexes. 5. Strong tonic convulsions produced by metrazol caused a definite depression of the symphatetic reflexes.
