Abstract

BATTISTINI M, Germán  and  HERRER, Arístides. Intradermo-Reaccion en la Leishmaniosis Tegumentaria en el Perú.: I Elección de antígeno. Rev. perú. med. exp. salud publica [online]. 1945, vol.4, n.2, pp.101-105. ISSN 1726-4634.

A new antigen called by the authors "leishmanina" has been produced in order to use it in the intradermal skin test of cutaneous leishmaniasis. Experimentally the accuracy of "leishmanina" is best and far sensible than those antigens of SENEKJI ( 1941 ), DA CUNHA - DIAS ( 1939) and MONTENEGRO (1926). Inmunization of rabbits through continuous inoculations with L. brasiliensis cultures isolated from cases of "uta", has been the materialused in order to find the accuracy of "leishmanina".
