Resumen MINAYA, Gloria, ARROYO, Eliseo, VARGAS, Julio et al. La prueba intradérmica de Montenegro (IDR) en pacientes con enfermedad de Chagas: observación preliminar. Rev. perú. med. exp. salud publica, jul./set 2002, vol.19, no.3, p.146-148. ISSN 1726-4634. Objective: To evaluate the skin test of Montenegro, in Chagas’disease patients . Material and methods: 25-30 µg/mL of "Leishmanina", an antigen contained in Leishmania (Viannia) peruviana, was injected intradermically in seven infected persons by Trypanosoma cruzi, 4 acute cases (thick smear or culture positive) and 3 with antibodies antiTrypanosoma cruzi showed by ELISA and Inmunofluorescense test. Results: No body showed positive reactions of hypersensitivy to the antigen. Conclusion: "Leishmanina", our prepared antigen has no cross reactions in 7 patients with Chagas’disease showing high specificity.
