It is well known that the best way to prevent the occurrence of chronic non-communicable diseases is through healthy lifestyles. It is important for clinicians to look for tools that may help to motivate and accompany patients in this challenge for change; so, for this reason we must know the theoretical models for behavioral change, including how to assess its various phases or stages and the different strategies to be developed, in order to be able to accompany our patients in their lifestyle changing process
