CAROLINA GIL, María; SCHILLAGI, María Cecilia; SQUADRITO, Sandra Anabel  e  ESCALANTE GOMEZ, Eduardo. Phenomenological analysis and evaluation of narrative skills in sexual abuse by children - teenagers. liber. [online]. 2011, vol.17, n.2, pp.157-171. ISSN 1729-4827.

The research has as main objective the evaluation of children sexual abused cases, including stories validity´s analysis (SVA). The perspective of this study is focus in the hermeneutic phenomenological approach of qualitative research. It proposes to study in depth the content of the interviews with children sexual abused, trying to explore and understand the discourse of the subject and build the meaning of their stories. We work with a purposive sample of nineteen cases. These interviews were made on the judicial context, Justice Department Mendoza’s province, Argentina. The stories validity´s analysis (SVA) is used as a proof to be standardized on the procedure to determine the value of a declaration. The observation of limitations of this technique encouraged the team to carry out studies that can complement the SVA. It introduces the analysis of the particular discursive meanings, including the chains of significances used by the subject connected to abuse´s experience, because from the methodological approach, mainly deductive and categorical, subject’s own experiences are not essential. Methodologically, we analyzed the categories present in the interviews and applied the textual statistics, specifically analysis of correspondences. The results show important discursive particularities when analyzing sexually abused children and adolescent’s cases.
