Abstract

The objective of this research is identify and compare the levels of quality of life in the following domains of quality of life: economic welfare, friends, family and home, couple, leisure, media, religion and health, according to sex and economic income, in a sample of 198 health´s professionals, of which 73.2% of them were female and 26.8% were men, students from graduate school in the city of Lima. The instrument used was the Quality of Life Scale by Olson & Barnes (1982). The results were expressed in media and the participants were located in a good level of quality life in all the domains assessed. To examine the differences, was applied a MANOVA, it was found that there wasnt interaction between sex and income. Then, it was applied an univariate ANOVA it was found that the main effect of economic income was statistically significant, so the professional students with more economic income perceived that the quality life in this domain was better. In the domain couple, the lowest scores occurred among those who have low income.
