Abstract

Hydro alcoholic, alcoholic and aqueous Dragon's blood (Croton lechleri) extracts were introduced in gamma irradiated chitosan-poly (vinyl alcohol) films and their antimicrobial properties against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli y Pseudomonas aeruginosa have been evaluated. These films as well as the latex exhibit activity against S. aureus only and have potential application as wound healing material.
