Resumen

DEL CARPIO JIMENEZ, Carla; SERRANO FLORES, Carlos  y  GIUSTI, Mónica. Characterization of Berberis boliviana Lechler fruits anthocyanins. Rev. Soc. Quím. Perú [online]. 2009, vol.75, n.1, pp.76-86. ISSN 1810-634X.

Berberis boliviana Lechler, is a wild specie from Peru, belongs to the Berberidaceae family; the fruit is an edible purple dark berry that grows in different zones and is called as cheqche, queswa cheqche, quisca quisca, ailampo. The preliminary analysis ofthe pigment determined the presence of anthocyanins, the content was determined by the pH differential method as a 7 g / 100g in dry fruit's seeds (epidermal tissue). The HPLC analisys of the acid hidrolisys sample showed the presence of five aglycones: delphinidin, cyanidin, petunidin, peonidin and malvidin, which were established by comparison using a well known commodity, grape extract by comparison ofthe peaks. The HPLC-MSMS analysis of the extract confirmed the presence of ten peaks and the molecular weights let us know the identity of each one, the anthocyanins present in B. boliviana L are delphinidin-3-g1ucoside, delphinidin-3-rutinoside, cyanidin-3-glucoside, cyanidin- 3-rutinoside, petunidin- 3-g1ucoside, petunidin- 3-rutinoside, peonidin- 3-glucoside, peonidin-3-rutinoside, malvidin-3-glucoside and malvidin-3-rutinoside. The petunidina 3 glucoside was identified as the principal pigmént, in a concentration of 24,43 %. This is the first time that the profile of B. boliviana L. anthocyanins was established, and this is important because this is a wild specie from our country.

Palabras clave : Characterization; anthocyanins; Berberis boliviana L; HPLC- mass spectrometry.
