Resumen

MENDOZA, J. et al. Electrophoretics patterns of snake peruvians venoms from Bothrops and Lachesis genera. Rev. Soc. Quím. Perú [online]. 2009, vol.75, n.2, pp.235-242. ISSN 1810-634X.

Snake venoms are biological mixture when proteins are the principal component. In this way, is possible to establish the qualitative characteristics of these venoms by electrophorectics analysis. Using sodium dodecylsulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), electrophoretics pattems from five venoms of peruvians snake, were determinate: Bothrops atrox, Bothrops barnetti, Bothrops brazili, Bothrops pietus and Laehesis muta. Previously, protein concentrations into whole venoms were measured by Lowry et al. method. Samples of each venom were dissolved in 0,05 M Tris-HC1 buffer pH 7,4 in order to evaluated electrophoretical migrations under non reducing and reducing conditions using 12% of acrylamide gels. Each venoms showed a typical protein concentration values: B. atrox, 78%, B. pictus 69%, B. barnetti 74%, B. brazili 83% and 1. muta 85%. On the other hand, band numbers and weight molecular range under non reducing condition were: B. atrox, 8 (51-14kDa); B. pictus, 13 (79,5-12,7 kDa); B. barnetti, 14 (91,1-14,8 kDa); B. brazili, 7 (56,5-18,3 kDa) and L. muta 10 (82,2-16,9 kDa). While, under reducing condition the values were: B. atrox, 9 (72,19 -14,16 kDa); B, 10 (69,85 -14,63 kDa); B. barnetti, 9 (31,01-14,63 kDa); B. brazili,9 (59,26-14,16 kDa) and L. muta, 9 (83,03-14,16 kDa). Therefore, eletrophoretica1s profiles found to each venoms were characteristics and typical from each species.
