We studied the so-called CaLaBaCu₃O_y superconductor, which was prepared by two techniques: solid state reaction and precipitation; correlating their crystalline structures and superconducting critical temperature by means of the results of the Rietveld refinement of powder X-ray diffraction patterns, electron diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and magnetic susceptibility.
