Abstract

BERROA ATENCIO, Heloína; CONDORI DE ZEGARRA, Yolanda; TICONA QUEA, Juana  and  MARTINEZ RIVERA, Kattia. Performance parameters evaluation of the spectrophotomrtric method for the NO2 determination in the enviroment. Rev. Soc. Quím. Perú [online]. 2010, vol.76, n.1, pp.80-91. ISSN 1810-634X.

It conducted 15 monitoring nitrogen oxide continuous flow for 30 days each. In these 15 phases were executed in which was evaluated the detection limit, quantification limit and assurance of the quality of the results, to determine the efficiency of the method in determining the nitrogen oxides by the Saltzmann method. The calibration took place with external standards of the concentrations of 0,4 to 3,2 μg de NO2. To determine and measure the detection limit were used readings of the laboratory blank in all fifteen phases. Concentrations of 0,4 to 14,4 μg of NO2 were used to verify the lineal rank. In the assurance of the location of the results were used patterns from 2,6 to 5,0 μg of NO2. According to the control diagrams the calibration curves inclination for a probability of 95% was obtained a SCL of 0,2283 and a ICL of 0,2011 with an interval of 0,0272. The detection limit obtained is of 0,026 μg of NO2 which is beneath the content of NO2 in the city of Arequipa. Saltzmann method for the determination of NO2 in the environment for concentration between 9,4 and 14,4 μg presents a lineal rank. In the assurance of the quality of the results of the obtained error percentages of 4,58 and 6,13 mean that they are under the spectophotometric methods error for the determination of NO2 by passive tubes.

Keywords : nitrogen oxides; colorimetric; control; securing quality.
