DOMINGUEZ TORREJON, Gilberto; GARCIA MARTIN, Juan de Jesús; GUZMAN LOAYZA, Deysi  and  ALANOCA, Rosa. Alkaloids content in bark of Uncaria tomentosa (Wild.) DC from different habitats in the region Ucayali - Perú. Rev. Soc. Quím. Perú [online]. 2010, vol.76, n.3, pp.271-278. ISSN 1810-634X.

Uncaria tomentosa (Wild.) DC, (cat´s claw) is one of the most important species whose has been able to exhibit the penthaciclic and tethraciclic alkaloids. In this paper we report the comparative results between different extracts from bark of four different habitats. We have made a comparative study about the behavior of these species in different altitude and kinds of soils in IIAP-Pucallpa, Nuevo Ucayali, El Porvenir, Tres de Octubre and we reported differences in the concentration of alkaloids in bark. Finally we test the extractive method in the isolation of alkaloids in the point of view acid and alkaline. The differences between those methods have been reported too.

Keywords : Uncaria tomentosa; alkaloids; method alkalin.
