Abstract

PACHECO TANAKA, Myriam Eugenia; PIMENTEL FRISANCHO, Jorge Paúl  and  ROQUE VILLANUEVA, Wilfredo Fernando. Biosorption kinetic of cadmium (II) and lead (II) ions from aqueous solutions by biomass residual of coffee. Rev. Soc. Quím. Perú [online]. 2010, vol.76, n.3, pp.279-292. ISSN 1810-634X.

Residual biomass of the chemically modified coffee was used to evaluate the adsorption and the kinetics of lead (II) and cadmium (II) ions from aqueous solutions scale of laboratory in process batch. Experimentally it is verified that the adsorbent has preference by the lead (II) ion, in front of cadmium (II) ion. The process of adsorption is represented by the kinetic model of pseudo first order and model of Elovich and reversible of first order.

Keywords : adsorption; equilibrium; kinetic; tannin; biosorption.
