Abstract

CORZO LUCIONI, Alberto. Summary of gold nanoparticles obtained by reduction Au3+. Rev. Soc. Quím. Perú [online]. 2012, vol.78, n.2, pp.79-90. ISSN 1810-634X.

In the present investigation were synthesized nanoparticles (NPs) of gold by oxidationreduction reactions at boiling temperature, starting from dilute solutions of acid tetrachloroauric: H[AuCl4].3H2O as a precursor in the presence of organic reducing agents such as trisodium citrate: Na3C6H5O7.2H2O; potassium sodium tartrate: KNaC4H4O6.4H2O and sodium borohydride: inorganic reducing agent NaBH4. With the aim of evaluating the particle size according to the type of reducing agent, is designed a series of experiments in which the reducing agent is changed, keeping it constant concentrations, but varying the concentration of H[AuCl4]. The particle size and the absorbance of the plasmon Au were measured in a particle size analyzer and a UV - visible, respectively. In turn, the effect of pH variation on the size of the NP Au, maintaining concentrations of H [AuCl4] constant and reducing agent trisodium citrate, at different pH values under the same conditions.

Keywords : Nanoparticle; reducing agent; plasmons.
