Chemical characterization, nutritional, screening phytochemistry and antioxidant activity evaluation of roots and fruits of two palm trees of the Euterpe genus, E. precatoria (EP) and E. oleracea (EO) of the Center for Research Allpahuayo (Native Fruit Garden -Instituto de Investigation de la Amazonia Peruana - IIAP) in the Allpahuayo Mishana Reserve. The fat acids were analyzed by the gas chromatography, the phenolics compounds by spectrophotometry UV/Vis and the antioxidant evaluation was realized "in vitro" by the scavenging of free radicals of DPPH. According to the bromatological analysis this showed high concentration of carbohydrates in fruits of both species (EP and EO) with 89.45% and 91.12% (dry weight), respectively. In the determination of the principal fatty acids of the lipid fraction are: oleic acid (EP: 62.1%, EO: 44.7%) and palmitic (EP: EO 19.6% and 16.7%). Through phytochemical screening were identified in fruits and roots of EP: triterpenes, steroids, coumarins, reducing sugars, phenols, tannins and flavonoids, and EO: coumarins, phenols and tannins. Antioxidant activity of all of the fruit (peel and pulp) had an IC50 of 1.35 mg/ml in EP and 10.04 mg/ml in EO, and roots 0.54 mg/ml for both species. Phenolic compounds in roots of both species had a higher concentration: 194.99 mg/100 g and 185.00 mg/100 g for EO and EP, respectively.
