Resumen

SARMIENTO SARMIENTO, Guido Juan; AMEZQUITA ALVAREZ, Marco Antonio  y  MENA CHACON, Laydy Mitsu. Use of bocashi and effective microorganisms as an ecological alternative in strawberry crops in arid zones. Scientia Agropecuaria [online]. 2019, vol.10, n.1, pp.55-61. ISSN 2077-9917.  http://dx.doi.org/10.17268/sci.agropecu.2019.01.06.

The objective of the research was to determine the effect of bocashi and effective microorganisms (EM) on strawberry crop yield (Fragaria x ananassa Duch) cv. Selva in the irrigation Majes, Arequipa-Peru. The treatments evaluated were 3 levels of bocashi: 4, 6 and 8 t ·ha-1 and 2 levels of EM: 1 and 2 l·t of bocashi-1 that in combination generated 6 treatments with 3 repetitions for each on e; the design of randomized complete blocks with 3x2 factorial arrangement was used. The application of treatments was performed before plant transplantation (50% of total dose) and 45 days after transplantation (50% of total dose) in localized form. The results refer that the highest total yield of strawberry fruits cv. Selva was 6,942 t·ha-1 product of the interaction between 8 t of bocashi·ha-1 and 1 l of EM·t of bocashi-1; achieving the best fruit classification according to their caliber: 30% of catego ry A (2,083 t·ha-1), 35% category B (2,430 t·ha-1), 25% category C (1,736 t·ha-1), 6% category D (0,417 t·ha-1) and 4% category E (0,276 t·ha-1)

Palabras clave : organic fertilizer; Fragaria x ananassa; yield; ecological agriculture; effective microorganisms.
