The principal goal of this essay is examine some social imaginaries which can appreciate in cultural products reproduced at social media. In the first place it will be theoretical and reflexive approaches of reach and dimension offered by social imaginaries in the function of give plausible cohesion and coherence to societies. It mentions some basic approaches for help the understanding of the concept. For this it is necessary some issue expertise reflections, such as Cornelius Castoriadis, Bronislaw Baczko and Juan Luis Pintos, but with a special emphasis in Michel Maffesoli approach. In second place, it will briefly examine the dialectic produced between social imaginaries and media culture for subsequently develop two categories since a critical vision (critical political-cultural - semiology perspective for culturologic study) it will be useful for exemplify in an orderly way the presence of a sort imaginaries at social media. For the treatment of both perspectives it will be essential the work of Guy Debord, Herbert Schiller, Armand Mattelart Edgard Morin and Roman Gubern
