Importance of the curves of growth and efficiency in the food of trout arcoiris (Oncorhynchus Mikyss) in the cost of production. Comuni@cción [online]. 2018, vol.9, n.1, pp.68-77. ISSN 2219-7168.
ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to evaluate the efficiency of food brands available in the market, identification of points of interest based on growth curves and cost structure and profitability. The information was generated in Lake Titicaca (place Callejón) 12 km from the city of Puno where cages were installed to evaluate five brands of commercial feed, and others to evaluate the growth and production costs. As a result of the experiment, highly significant differences were found (p <0.01) for the live weight gain, placing first the T2, followed by T3 and in the third place the rest of treatments; Although the best feed conversion rates favored treatments T2 and T3, economic efficiency defined the following order T3, T2, T4, T1 and T5. The growth curves estimated by a Logistic model effectively characterize the growth of trout and were used to identify the period of adaptation to the environment and the point of inflection in three growth groups. The cost of production showed that food represents 78% of the total cost and a profitability of 19%. Concluding that T3 is the most efficient that allows a yield of 19.17%
