The current situation of the university system has allowed experiencing several processes of change, academic and administrative commitments, assessing the interaction between academic engagement, affective commitment and academic satisfaction. The purpose of the research is to examine the mediating effect of affective commitment on the link between academic engagement and academic satisfaction in business students. It has been studied in a sample of 469 valid surveys of undergraduate university students in business programs collected by means of an online structured questionnaire. In addition, the use of widely used academic engagement, effective engagement and academic satisfaction scales was used. Likewise, SEM - Structural Equations System was used for statistical contrastation. The findings show that academic engagement has a positive effect on academic satisfaction. Likewise, affective commitment has a promoting role in the link between academic engagement and academic satisfaction. In addition, the results have important theoretical and practical contributions for the university community.
