Abstract
ARREDONDO, James and RAMOS, Marco. Auctions in photovoltaic solar energy plants and grid parity in Peru. Tecnia [online]. 2020, vol.30, n.2, pp.27-32. ISSN 0375-7765. http://dx.doi.org/10.21754/tecnia.v30i2.567.
In this paper, an analysis of the situation of grid parity of photovoltaic solar energy is presented, with respect to conventional electrical energy sources, such as hydroelectric and thermoelectric in the case of Peru. For this purpose, a review is made of how electricity rates are set for the residential end-user of electric energy sources; on the other hand, it shows what it consists of, the leveled cost of energy in the case of solar energy and how this has been used for the calculation of the electrical tariff of this source type; The rates of the solar plants being compared are installed in: Moquegua, Tacna and Arequipa. The photovoltaic solar rate has been obtained through auctions; from 2010 to 2016, these have decreased significantly until reaching network parity in the last auction. A comparative analysis is shown between the two rates for each type of source.
