For this study, the Cognitive Theory was chosen in order to explain the behavior of certain displacement verbs in the linguistic variety of the Ashéninka language from Upper Perené. The results show that the behavior of these verbs is characteristic of the language and that they are optimally structured on the basis of the Cognitive Theory.
