This article introduces an overview of best practices for introductory courses on Hispanic Linguistics with a focus on problem-solving activities and collaborative learning since instructors must always have in mind the course objectives; in the same vein, they have to be able to provide a descriptive approach to Linguistics to eradicate the myths that exist about language.
