Abstract

QUISPE, Yoselin  and  PEREZ, Sindy. Conceptual integration in José Antonio Sulca’s erotic poetry: a cognitive semantic analysis of Machimina (2007). Leng. Soc. [online]. 2023, vol.22, n.2, pp.551-574.  Epub Sep 27, 2023. ISSN 1729-9721.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15381/lengsoc.v22i2.23236.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the metaphorical expressions found in the Quechua Ayacucho poetry book Machimina (2007), by José Antonio Sulca, whose theme is erotic. For this, the theory of conceptual integration, proposed by Fauconnier and Turner in 2002, is used, and the guidelines of cognitive semantics are followed. Thus, it is concluded that, in the corpus of study, these metaphorical expressions, for the most part, refer to sexual arousal, the genital organs of men and women and the prototypical qualities of Andean women in the sexual sphere.

Keywords : José Antonio Sulca; erotic quechua poetry; conceptual integration; cognitive semantics; metaphorical expressions.
