BELTRAN, Hamilton; VADILLO GALVEZ, Giovana Patricia y PALOMINO ZENA, Fany. Flora and vegetation of Calipuy National Reserve, La Libertad. Arnaldoa [online]. 2017, vol.24, n.1, pp.267-288. ISSN 1815-8242. http://dx.doi.org/10.22497/arnaldoa.241.24111.
Since the establishment of the Calipuy National Reserve to date, its flora and vegetation remained unknown; this happens in many other state conservation areas of Peru, despite this information is important for science, conservation and appropriate management of the area. This study provides a first list of plant species in the Calipuy National Reserve (RNC). The RNC has four vegetal units: dense scrub, scattered scrub, cactus communities and riparian vegetation where 470 plant species are distributed in 82 families. Fifteen species are reported for the first time for La Libertad and one for the Peruvian flora; 59 species are endemic to Peru and 13 species are protected by Peruvian law.
