Abstract

Ceroxylon parvum Galeano (Arecaceae) is reported in seasonally dry tropical forests (SDTF) at the localities of Oscurama, district of Bolivar, province of San Miguel; Udima in the district of Catache, and Succhapampa in the district of Pulán, province of Santa Cruz in Cajamarca, between 06°43´ S 078°57´ W and 06°57´ S 079°08´ W. The type species was described in 1995 for Ecuador, Loja, Chaguapamba- Loja road, 12 km west of Olinedo We provide a broad description and an illustration of the taxon that belongs to clade II, whose species are mostly diversified in the Central Andes
